SOCIAL media fans can now stay up to date on what’s happening at Dunstable Town Council via Facebook and Twitter.

The team has launched a Facebook page and Twitter accounts as another way to keep people in touch with town council news, events, services and offers.

The council will still produce its quarterly publication Talk of the Town, and use traditional communications methods to promote events and services, in addition to the Facebook and Twitter presences.

A spokesman said: “Dunstable Town Council is aware that with advances in technology, to reach all of our residents in Dunstable, it is becoming increasingly important to embrace modern communication methods such as Facebook and Twitter.

“These forms of social media present us with the ability to keep our community informed of our services and events, while encouraging feedback at every opportunity.”
