All Saints box clever for Christmas campaign

CHRISTMAS gifts were boxed and wrapped this week at All Saints Academy – to be sent to needy children across the world.

It is the second year that the Dunstable school has supported the Operation Christmas Child campaign run by the Samaritan’s Purse charity.

Staff and students in each tutor group donated gifts to fill shoeboxes for little boys and girls aged two to 14.

Four students – Amy Eckersley, Jacob Kyte, Lewis Reid and Rhea Brindle – also made up boxes themselves at home.

Teacher Karen Webb said: “There has been a very generous response, and we have made up 40 boxes. Students have shown great compassion and a willingness to help others who are less fortunate than themselves.”

The shoeboxes were taken to Totternhoe Church, where they will be collected by Samaritan’s Purse.
