FANCY footwork saw a 10-strong team of streetdancers from Ashton St Peter’s Lower School win a Dunstable inter-school contest.
The competition at Lark Rise Academy saw performances from Ashton St Peter’s, Hawthorn Park, Hadrian Lower and Lark Rise Academy.
Each team consisted of children from Years 1 to 4 who took to the floor in front of a panel of judges.They were marked on their choreography, individuality, time-keeping and working together in the routine.
The Ashton St Peter’s team wore black outfits and checked baseball caps for their dance with the girls accessorising with neon legwarmers.
In their feedback, the judges praised the level of talent expressed within the dance routines.
The successful Ashton St Peter’s team of Tom Lawrence, Khloe Lawton, Dana McClean, Jeri Tam Lit-Taylor, Charlotte Walters, Neve Kerwick, Ellie Wright, Rebecca Clarke, Eloise Basham and Isabel-Mae Litchfield-Shaw were presented with a trophy.
