Long-term injury concern Danny Spiller is finally closing in on his belated Hatters debut, writes Mark Wood.
An achilles injury at the start of pre-season means that the 31-year-old midfielder is yet to pull on a Luton shirt.
He finally joined in with his team-mates for a first-team warm-up at the end of last week and travelled with the squad for Saturday’s 2-1 win at Lincoln.
Hatters boss Paul Buckle said: “You forget what big signings him and (Garry) Richards were and we really could do with having him back.
“We were delighted he joined in the warm-up although he is still a couple of weeks away.”
