A TRIO of trialists, including ex-keeper Dean Brill, all impressed on Monday night as the Hatters started their pre-season programme with a 1-0 win at Hitchin Town, writes Mark Wood.
Luton boss Paul Buckle continued to cast his eye over former Southend striker Harry Crawford, while 18-year-old Leicester City youth product Matt Robinson stood out with a combative display in midfield.
On Robinson, who hit a hat-trick in Leicester City Academy’s 6-2 win over Crystal Palace last season, and Crawford, Buckle said: “I thought they did very well. Both have been with us for quite a while now.”
When asked about Brill, the Town boss added: “I think it’s somewhere where we need to look at. We’ve got young Lewis (Kidd), who is very young and inexperienced.”
