LUTON athletes recorded some fine individual performances while representing Bedfordshire schools at the Aviva Track and Field English Schools Championships at Gateshead Stadium last week.
A packed stadium and the presence of Sky television added to the pressure of competing in heats and semi-finals over two days of competition.
Luton AC spokesman Gerry Gough said: “The impressive turnout for Luton athletes in these Championships is a testament to the hard work of the athletes and the fantastic work of the volunteer coaches.”
