MANUFACTURERS in the Dunstable area have told their MP they have received “important help” to export from a government agency.
South West Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous asked the Prime Minister during a parliamentary debate on the recent G20 economic summit on June 25 what more could be done to “help British business sell even more around the world?”
Prime Minister David Cameron said: “UK Trade and Investment is doing a good job. Members on both sides of the House can help link UKTI to small and medium-sized enterprises in their own constituencies.
“I think that the figure is that if one in five of our SMEs that currently export moved to one in four, that would probably eradicate our trade deficit.”
