STUDENTS from Central Bedfordshire College really did run with an event to raise cash for Help For Heroes.
For a six-hour charity run involved all of the public services students.
They were split into three teams and took turns running the mile-and-a-half route and collecting charity cash.
Representatives from the Army, Royal Air Force and fire service attended to show their support.
Spectators came along, too, and talked to students, staff and the representatives from the fire service and the Forces.
Public services senior lecturer Martin Rawles said: “This event has been a tremendous success, with a lot of students and staff taking part in raising money for this worthwhile charity.
“We were pleased to have the support from the Army, Royal Air Force and fire brigade, which helped to attract a lot of attention to the event.
“We would also like to thank everyone who donated money at the college and in Dunstable town centre.
“The students thoroughly enjoyed the event.”
