AN exhibition this week will highlight plans for road safety improvements in south-west Dunstable.
The aim of the proposals is to help cut down drivers’ speeds and reduce through-traffic in the Meadway, Langdale Road, Lowther Road, Beech Road and Oldhill areas.
Plans include junction improvements, raised crossings, footway improvements and measures to deter through-traffic.
Check them out on Friday, May 25, 3.30pm-8pm, and on Saturday, May 26, 10am-1pm at Lark Rise Academy, Cartmel Drive.
Central Beds Council says the scheme aims to improve safety, especially for schoolchildren.
Councillor Brian Spurr said: “We would encourage local residents and businesses to go and look at and comment on the plans for their area, which will make a massive improvement to these roads and the surrounding area.”
