A CELEBRATED Dunstable crime author is launching a star-studded radio adaptation of his latest book in Bedfordshire next week.
Best-selling author Adam Croft only released his third novel Exit Stage Left back in December.
But the former Queensbury School student has already recorded an audio version starring ITV’s The Royal actor Robert Daws and The Inbetweeners star, and tenth sexiest woman in the world according to FHM readers, Emily Atack.
Adam spent the past three months working with the stars to transform the text into a broadcastable version.
Adam told the Gazette: “We tried to keep it as close to the book as we could but there are a few changes. The audio version will expand and improve on a few things from the book. It was a great experience and excellent to work with such professional people.”
As well as an all-star cast, the audio adaptation will feature music by Spitting Image’s Kate Robbins.
Adam was helped to organise the project by Robert Daws who read the book and thought it would be great to adapt.
And the recording artists involved worked as a labour of love rather than for money.
Adam said: “Everyone got involved because they wanted to do the project which is even more humbling.”
The launch takes place at 2pm on Tuesday, May 15 at The Albion pub in Ampthill.
Adam’s books are available for download from Amazon.
