MEDICAL Detection Dogs were at Sainsbury’s in Dunstable to raise money to train canine cancer-spotters.
Thanks to the generosity of customers, £653 was raised for the charity to go towards training dogs and puppies that determine the smell of human cancer, diabetes and other illnesses.
About 25 dogs are currently being trained – many of them rescue dogs – in the area.
Currently, the focus is on providing dogs for local people who suffer from bittle diabetes.
