PAINKILLING injections could help Hatters striker Amari Morgan-Smith to play a part before the end of the season, writes Mark Wood.
Despite being sidelined for much of the campaign, the 23-year-old attacker has been Luton’s leading scorer for most of the season with 10 goals to his name.
However, a hard to diagnose hamstring injury has curtailed his influence since having to come off in the 1-0 win against Northampton Town in November.
On what the next step is, Morgan-Smith said: “We’re going to try and ease the pain and hopefully the injection will work.
“It’s just a waiting game really. Waiting for my hamstring to settle down and hopefully I can recover as soon as possible.”
