PUPILS from Thomas Whitehead Lower School in Houghton Regis conducted experiments as part of their ‘science week’ earlier this month.
Children were joined by expert Kevin Greenwell (pictured left) who helped them build rockets on March 12.
Also during the week – which was in honour of physicist Albert Einstein’s 133rd birthday on March 14 – budding scientists made go-karts, plaster casts of their own hands.
There was also a successful schoolwide bridge-building competition which had about 100 entries.
Irene Hawkes of Thomas Whitehead Lower School said: “There was a great response – it was brilliant.”
