A NEW plan to improve travel for people living in Central Bedfordshire was agreed this week.
The local area transport plan will see the development of:
– Pedestrian crossing points in Toddington
– Development of village cycle networks and associated signage in Heath and Reach, Toddington and Barton le Clay
– Improvements to bus stops across the area
– 20mph zone in Heath and Reach
– Pedestrian crossing point at Ramsey Lower School. Barton le Clay
In addition there will be improved information on public transport across Central Bedfordshire through the development of a travel information website.
These improvements, along with others in surrounding villages including Stanbridge and Streatley, will cost Central Bedfordshire Council £130,000 over the next two years.
