A GOOSE became trapped and distressed after getting itself caught in netting in a lake before being freed by the fire service on Monday (March 26).
The goose, which was unable to escape, was released at about 6pm by tools similar to a pair of scissors after a rescue boat from Bedford and a rescue vehicle from Huntingdon, Cambrdgesgire attended the incident at Anglian treatment works in Thorn Road, Thorn.
Representatives from the RSPCA, who also attended the scene, said that the bird was “fine” and will be OK.
