LATEST government figures show a significant improvement in exam results for Central Beds students.
The number of students gaining five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths, at GCSE and equivalent level has risen by 5.2 per cent.
Central Beds Council says the 2011 figures are almost 10 per cent up on the 2009 results, and that is reflected in the same percentage improvement for each of the three Dunstable upper schools.
In post-16 results, Central Beds is ranked 19th nationally for the number of students achieving Level 3 (or two passes at A-level).
