A NUMBER of Dunstable jobs hang in the balance as the Peacock Group announced they are looking to go into administration after crisis talks with the group’s lenders ended with no agreement reached.
The retail group announced on Monday, January 16, that they have filed a notice of intent to appoint an administrator to protect the business while discussions with investors progress.
The Peacocks and Peacock-owned Bonmarche stores in Dunstable are two of 611 UK outlets facing uncertainty as efforts are made to stabilise £577 million debts to banks, including Royal Bank of Scotland.
