A FUNDRAISING night at a Dunstable restaurant served up a healthy helping of cash for charity.
The dinner, held at the Spice Lounge, in West Street, raised £473.76 for Cancer Research UK.
Now the charity would like to thank the organisers, Dunstable town councillor Jim Anklesaria and wife Sheroo, and staff at the restaurant for all their support.
Guests included a number of civic leaders, and all attending thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
A raffle was also held on the night to boost the charity kitty.
Victoria Gilham, the charity’s area volunteer manager for Bedfordshire and North Hertfordshire, gave a speech thanking everyone who had backed the event.
She told the gathering that she would like to hear from people who would be willing to help as volunteers and fundraisers.
And Victoria also talked about her hopes of setting up a fundraising group in the area to represent the charity.
