A woman was sexually assaulted as she walked her young child to school in Houghton Regis.
The incident – which happened on Friday, November 30 – happened as the 22-year-old victim was at the junction of Peel Street and Tithe Farm Road.
At about 12 noon, when the woman was pushing a pushchair along the round, a man walked up to her and grabbed her bottom before casually strolling away.
The man is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, about 19 years old, with a slim build and light brown/ginger hair, which was messy. He wore a black tracksuit.
Det Con Mike Robinson, investigating, said: “This type of behaviour is very unusual and many people may not think to report these incidents to the police but we do take this type of behaviour seriously and I would urge anyone with information relating to this investigation to come forward and speak to officers.”
DC Robinson is keen to speak to anyone who may have been subjected to a similar assault in the area.
Anyone with information should contact DC Robinson, in confidence, on 01582 394312, or Beds Police on 101.
