Plans for the proposed new £42 million Woodside Link road for Dunstable and Houghton Regis have been on show at special exhibitions.
But there is still time to have your say, as the public consultation will run until December 24.
The planned link would help secure the “detrunking” of the A5 through Dunstable and a hoped-for lorry ban for the High Street.
If all goes to plan, the new road would connect Houghton and industrial estates in Dunstable to the planned new M1 Junction 11a. Junction 11a will be built as part of the A5 Dunstable northern bypass scheme.
Now Central Beds Council is asking for feedback on the planned Woodside Link route.
The team also specifically wants to hear views about a potential direct connection from Parkside Drive, Houghton, to the Woodside Link.
Central Beds executive councillor Nigel Young believes the Woodside Link, the A5 bypass and the busway scheme will help cut down traffic in the heart of Dunstable and Houghton, and boost regeneration.
He said: “I’d like to thank all those who have commented on the Woodside Link proposals and who have come along to the exhibitions.
“We’d really encourage everyone to have their say on the plans if they haven’t already.
“People can access the consultation documents online at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/woodsidelink until December 24.”

All plans and documents will be available at the Central Beds Council offices in Dunstable from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4pm Fridays.
