Central Beds schools are top of the class

Primary and lower schools in Central Beds are in the top 10 per cent of the country, according to an Ofsted report.

In the county, 83 per cent of schools are rated as good or outstanding.

The report follows excellent KS1 assessments for seven-year-olds which placed Central Beds in the top ten in the country, and the area’s best ever KS2 results for 11-year-olds.

Councillor Mark Versallion said: “This is great news and reflects the outstanding hard work and determination of local schools, teachers, parents and pupils.”
