Returning Hatters midfielder James Dance was given an impromptu round of applause by his team-mates and coaches prior to Luton’s 1-1 home draw with Nuneaton Town on Saturday, writes Mark Wood.
The 25-year-old midfielder was surprisingly named amongst Town’s seven subs after nine months on the sidelines and two operations on his ankle after sustaining a serious injury at the beginning of the year.
Manager Paul Buckle was delighted to have him back, saying: “James has been out for nine months, so it’s a huge day for him to be in the squad.
“When I named the team the boys gave him a round of applause because he’s been working tirelessly in the gym.”
