Lutonian James Ward travels to Ireland this weekend to compete in the European Strongest Man U90kg event in Letterkenny.
The 27-year-old from Clyesdale Road will take part in seven events including a car deadlift, carry and drop, overhead medley, barrell carry, arm over arm pulling a mobile home, squat and atlas stones.
He said: I’d like to thank my boss at Gym One, Carl Grant, who has helped pay for the flights out there.
“It’s going to be a hard competition as I’ve had a bit of a back injury, but I’m looking to do well.”
