Adaptable striker Scott Rendell believes a busy pre-season has left him supercharged for Town’s assault on the Blue Square Bet Premier title, writes Mark Wood.
With fellow striker Jon Shaw sidelined by a calf niggle during the friendlies, the summer capture from Wycombe Wanderers had his busiest pre-season ever as he played almost every game.
The 25-year-old striker has also been a regular for the Hatters in their first three games, but is still searching for his first goal in a Luton shirt.
With both him and Shaw at Kenilworth Road, Hatters now have two recognised target men on their books – an outlet they have missed massively in recent seasons.
