OLDER statesman Jake Howells is relishing the responsibility that has come with his signing a new three-year deal with the Hatters, writes Mark Wood.
The Welsh U21 international may only be 20, but has already played approaching 200 times for the Hatters and knows he must now come to the fore even more regularly.
He said: “Big players have left the club like Keano obviously has moved on and other players have left the club like the captain.
“I feel now as I’ve played the most games now I’ve got to step up to the plate and be more vocal and help other round me, so I think it’s a big responsibility, yeah.”
