A DOG attack left a young girl with serious injuries after she was attacked by a dog in Houghton Regis.
At about 3.40pm on Sunday, July 22, the 10-year-old victim, her sister and a friend were outside the Nisa store in Hillborough Crescent when they walked past a man with a dog.
The animal – believed to be a Rottweiler – started barking before leaping onto the victim’s arm and dragging her to the ground.
The dog’s owner pulled it off the girl before fleeing the area.
The girl was treated for three serious puncture wounds at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
The owner of the dog is described as a white man, in his mid 20s, of skinny build and wearing a white tracksuit and white cap.
PC Matt Garfitt, investigating, said: “It is extremely important that we locate the owner of this dog and stop him from allowing the animal to cause further harm to anyone.”
Call Beds Police on 101 with information.
