A DUNSTABLE training provider is offering free courses to help school leavers get skills for jobs.
With fewer young people applying for university courses Pitman Training, in Ashton Square, is expecting a bigger influx than ever of school-leavers seeking employment.
Luton and Dunstable Pitman Training centre owners Tauqir Ahmed and Raza Sharif are offering free career clinic sessions and a free typing test, along with a one-to-one CV review and free demonstrations on a number of courses.
The franchisees said: “As crippling debts become more of a worry than ever before for students, the idea of university has become more and more dismissed by many, so there will be a lot of students who could feel slightly in limbo this summer. Many of these students still value training and it’s a case of showing them that there is another way. With our flexible learning, they can fit training in around their lives, and it makes it very accessible to do.”
