PLANS for a new free school for youngsters at risk of being excluded have been approved by the government.
The school, which will be based partly in Houghton Regis at the Kingsland site, will offer “high quality education for pupils whose needs are not being met in mainstream schools”, says Central Beds Council.
The proposal was developed by heads of 10 local upper schools and will cater for 140 pupils across the Houghton Regis site and another in Stotfold.
