YOUNG and old turned out in sunshine and showers for a day packed with fun at Dunstable’s great Party In The Park.
Not even a torrential downpour could put a dampener on the fabulous finale from S Club 3.
Brollies went up but the crowds partied on as the three former S Club 7 singers, Jo O’Meara, Paul Cattermole and Bradley McIntosh, brought the day to a close.
Dunstable Town Council organised the Party In The Park, held in Grove House Gardens on Saturday, July 14.
It is one of the big events in the town’s diary.
More than 2,000 people are thought to have dropped in on the event across the day, and they came determined to have fun, and prepared for mixed weather.
There was a crowd of about 1,500 party-goers during the S Club 3 set.
This year’s programme included live music, an animal petting zoo, inflatables, stalls, other activities and an outdoor movie screen showing films.
Performers included Totally Sophie, Winston, Simon Willis, Teela, Hazel Brunt, The Luminites, and Katy Perry and Britney tribute acts.
Lisa Vincent, events and marketing officer, said: “The atmosphere was fantastic.”
