AN illegal immigrant was returned to his home country on Friday after a raid at Papa John’s takeaway in High Street North, Dunstable on June 21.
The Pakistani man and two others, all wearing the fast food outlet’s uniform, were seen attempting to leave from the rear of the premises and were stopped by UK Border Agency officers at the back door.
The 31-year-old was working in breach of his visit visa and the others, aged 50 and 47, had overstayed their visas and are now in detention. Papa John’s faces a fine of up to £30,000.
