ATTACKER Amari Morgan-Smith has labelled Hatters ‘disrespectful’ after he was surprisingly released from Kenilworth Road last week, writes Mike Simmonds
The 23-year-old forward had been one of the most sought-after players during the early parts of last campaign, netting 10 goals in 19 games at one stage, before injury struck and he played just a handful more times.
But he left the club on a free transfer as his contract ran out and boss Paul Buckle opted not to offer him a new one, without, according to Morgan-Smith, informing him of his decision.
Morgan-Smith said: “I know that I was an important player to the squad and the side all season and the season before.
“That’s why it was a little bit of a surprise and a little bit of a disrespect really how I found out.”
