HOUGHTON Regis Library will close for two weeks from Monday (June 25) as part of Central Beds Council’s 15-year scheme to modernise libraries.
New self-service technology will be installed, so staff can spend more time helping customers.
It will reopen on Monday, July 9, in time for the Summer Reading Challenge in the school holidays
In the next two years the council is investing £850,000 to improve the library service.
While the library is closed, members can renew books and make requests at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/librariesforthefuture.
