‘I’ve lost 1,000 wedding snaps’

A DUNSTABLE bride who lost a purse containing a memory card full of 1,000 irreplaceable photographs from her wedding day is appealing for its return.

Mother-of-two Nikki Cavanagh, 24, wed husband Simon, 37, on Saturday, May 5 in Leighton Buzzard and passed the camera round friends and family to record their big day.

Nikki, of Sandland Close, believes she dropped it between the phone store and Greggs in The Quadrant shopping centre in Dunstable when she was with sons Josh, four, and Kodie, one, on Wednesday, June 6.

She told the Gazette: “I had just been to get my phone fixed and I put my purse into what I thought was my bag on the back of the pram. It must have fallen through to the floor.

Among the photos were pictures from Nikki’s hen night in Dunstable as well as pictures of Simon getting ready on the day of the wedding.

The SD card is blue, 2.5cms by 3.2cms and similar to those used in most digital cameras.

The purse has a white, pink and grey floral design with a black clasp and was bought from Peacocks.

She said: “I liked the purse a lot so I bought the same one again. I don’t want the money that was in the purse, I don’t care about that. I just want the memory card. That’s what’s really important to me.”

If you have any information about the purse or the memory card, call Nikki on 07716 949407.
