DUNSTABLE’S Jade Nash says defeat in the final of The Apprentice was “the right decision”, but her future looks bright after being “bombarded” with job offers.
Jade, 29, was the first to be booted out of last Sunday’s final – missing out on the chance to go into business with Lord Sugar with a £250,000 investment – after her business plan was deemed “grubby” and “unsavoury” by one of Sugar’s former top aides, Claude Littner.
Jade, who lives off High Street North, was one of four finalists to beat off competition from the rest of the 16 hopefuls, but lost out to eventual winner Ricky Martin.
She told the Gazette: “I feel like I’m more creative than I thought I was, even though my final call centre idea wasn’t done to the best of my ability, so I think it was the right decision in the end.
“It was weird because throughout the process you never really expect to get to the final and it comes round so quickly that you’re like, ‘oh god I’ve actually got here’.”
Despite the setback, Jade remains optimistic about the future.
Currently working as a business development manager for DLG in Watford, she said: “I have been bombarded with offers, there are loads of emails in my inbox. It’s overwhelming at the moment, but the plan is to move to London I think.”
Famed for her Drunken Jelly shots idea, she told the Gazette: “Polish and Passion Fruit was a winner but I am thinking Dark Rum and Ginger would be lovely!”
