DEFENDER Janos Kovacs delighted to pick up the Luton News Hatters Of The Season award this week.
Speaking from Hungary, the centre-back said: “I always said that this season was a very good season for me personally.
“So it’s a great honour to be player of the season especially if you get three, four, five awards.
“I just keep saying that the support that our fans gave us throughout the season in every kind of destination, it’s amazing.
“Hopefully we can give it back sooner or later and hopefully it’s going to be sooner.”
Although happy with his displays over the course of the campaign, Kovacs was annoyed by his own showing in the play-off final against York City as Town lost 2-1 condemning them to yet another season in the Conference.
