MOST new homeowners like to put their own stamp on a property – even if it takes years to perfect their dream des-res.
Dunstable graphic designers David Hawkins and his wife Christine have done just that over the past 11 years, collecting furniture and knik-knacks that represent their tastes.
And their labour of love has proved particularly popular, as their finished product has just featured, in all its glossy glory, in the September issue of House Beautiful magazine.
But David told the Gazette that he was surprised at the level of interest from the interior industry in their home.
He admitted: “Some things just happened to come into the house and everything has a story. I haven’t styled it, this is our stuff.”
