ASDA in Dunstable will be holding a Jubilee barbecue on Saturday (June 2) to raise money for one of the Queen’s charities.
The event will run from 10am-4pm, with all proceeds going to Fields in Trust, which protects playing fields to ensure everyone has access to free, local spaces for sport.
The Court Drive store hopes the day can replicate the success of a collection week it held from May 14-20 when nearly £4,000 was raised for the Royal Air Forces Association.
> Nisa Local has organised a fun day at the Dog and Duck pub in Houghton Regis to celebrate the Jubilee on Monday (June 4), including a Houghton’s Got Talent competition, from 1pm-8pm.
> Kensworth’s Jubilee party organising committee will host a fancy dress parade and Big Lunch on Monday (June 4), which promises to be fantastic fun due to the fundraising efforts by residents to make it possible. The parade will start from Isle of Wight Lane, heading towards the recreation ground where there will be an award for the best fancy dress.
There will be a hog roast and a licensed bar, as well as a host of activities for children.
