A SUMMER motorcycle safety campaign is urging riders to take extra care at hazard hotspots.
New warning signs prompt motorcyclists to think about their speed, whether it is safe to overtake and if they are in the correct position for a bend in the road.
Central Beds Council and partner Amey launched the ‘Riders’ campaign. It is based on research over the past five years into aspects of motorcycle riding such as cornering, speed and overtaking, in a bid to cut accidents.
The idea is to encourage riders to check they are riding appropriately in view of the hazards facing them.
