A CAMPAIGN to help people recognise the early symptoms of cancer of the oesophagus or stomach is under way in South Beds.
It is all part of the national Be Clear On Cancer campaign.
The oesophagus is the long tube which carries food from the throat to the stomach.
This three-month campaign is mainly aimed at people aged 55 and over.
Its message is that if you have difficulty swallowing food, or you’ve had indigestion or heartburn most days for three weeks or more, don’t learn to live with it – tell your doctor.
