STORYBOOK and nursery rhyme characters have been brought to life by Year 10 students at Dunstable’s Queensbury School.
They were taking part in a dress rehearsal for The Pantomime Play, which included well-known figures such as Red Riding Hood, Simple Simon and Miss Muffet, to be staged at four lower schools in the town.
And the idea was that they would not only perform for pupils in Years 3 and 4, but also run workshops with the youngsters.
The production was scheduled to visit Lancot Lower, Ashton St Peter’s Lower, Ardley Hill Lower and Icknield Lower. It is the first time Queensbury has staged a touring production of this kind with a GCSE class.
Now the school wants to hear from lower or special schools who would like to see the show this term.
