TOWN’s players have admitted letting former boss Gary Brabin down after he was sacked last month, writes Mark Wood.
Skipper George Pilkington said: “He was a good manager. He was liked by all the lads and we didn’t quite do him justice in a lot of the games.
“It wasn’t as if he was telling us to go out and lose games.
Meanwhile, Keith Keane added: “I’ll be the first one to say I enjoyed playing under Gary Brabin, me and him got on very well.
“He always played me, liked me as a player and as a player that’s all you can ask for.”
