A PACKED Riverside Suite at the Vauxhall Recreation Centre celebrated the town’s brightest and best sports men and women at the 2011 Luton Sports Awards on Thursday night.
Over 300 packed into the venue, with many more unable to attend due to the maximum capacity, as the deputy mayor and local MPs were also in attendance.
Inspirational captain of the England Blind Football Team David Clarke handed out the awards as a performance by SALTO gymnastics club opened the festivities and another by the University of Bedfordshire’s Cheerleading Squad entertained the crowd midway through.
Chief videographer Natalee Hazelwood was on hand to capture highlights of the event, and interviews with a number of winners, including Jordan Reynolds and Sabrina Bakare amongst others.
