LITERATURE was brought to life at the World Book Day celebrations at a Dunstable school.
Watling Lower School pupils had fun dressing up as characters from their favourite books, including Wally, from the Where’s Wally? series.
Special reading-linked activities have also included listening to authors live online, and inviting parents into school to read books with pupils.
The school has run contests for pupils to design bookmarks and book covers, and write book reviews.
And special treats have been laid on for pupils who complete classroom charts for daily reading.
