VOLUNTEERS are needed for The Big Spring Clean event to clear litter from the Blow’s Downs nature reserve this weekend.
It is all happening from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, March 25, meeting at the Half Moon Lane entrance.
The Blow’s Downs Conservation Group and the Wildlife Trust for this area are organising the day.
And they hope lots of people will lend a helping hand.
Helpers should have sturdy footwear and are asked to bring gardening gloves if they have some.
All other equipment will be provided. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Ruth Sneath, the trust’s Beds education and community officer, said: “Many local residents use and enjoy the nature reserve. The Wildlife Trust and Blow’s Downs Conservation Group work hard to ensure that it is a great place for wildlife and people.”
