STUDENTS were treated to a special performance from X Factor star Bradley Johnson at Manshead Upper School on Monday (March 12).
The singer, who recently signed to record label Ingeny Music Ltd, will be performing at the Love Luton 2012 Festival on Friday July 6.
He is promoting the festival and his debut single, which will be released this spring, at schools in Luton and Dunstable.
Bradley performed Ed Sheeran’s ‘The A team’ and new single ‘Boomerang’ to enthusiastic year 9-10 students before posing for photographs with his young fans.
Bradley made it to the X Factor’s boot camp stage last year and became part of group Nu Vibe, who reached the live finals.
Year 8 students were the lucky audience for the morning performance and Robert Lee, the artisitc director of the Love Luton Festival gave a welcome speech before the performance.
He said of Bradley: “I can’t believe he is only 17 years old and I actually got choked up watching him engage so brilliantly with the students. Everyone seemed so taken aback.
“Bradley is an absolute superstar in the making and such a welcomed addition to this year’s festival. I encourage everyone to jump online and snap up tickets before it is too late.”
Bradley said: “I enjoy going into schools performing my new single Boomerang to the fans with the hope of inspiring people.
“I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the Love Luton Festival 2012.”
