ANDREW Selous has called for plans for making superfast broadband available across the whole of Bedfordshire to be sped up.
The South West Beds MP asked culture secretary Jeremy Hunt about the plans in the House of Commons this month.
He said: “Good broadband is essential for many people and especially businesses, including in our rural areas.”
“We cannot compete effectively without it and we lag behind other countries.”
Mr Hunt responded by saying the plan for Beds broadband were “amber-rated” rather than “green-rated”.
