DUNSTABLE Aquatics really does show ‘fin-esse’ when it comes to customer service – and now the store has been nominated in the great Shop Local contest.
The Shop Local customer service awards are your chance to shine a spotlight on Dunstable businesses offering outstanding service with a smile.
You can also nominate a special employee there – or at another business in the town – for an individual award.
Julia Lewry, of Brive Road, Dunstable, has not only nominated Dunstable Aquatics for an award, but has also put forward its managing director Ben Maynard for an individual award.
The store, at the corner of West Street and Ashton Square, sells tropical and cold water fish, tanks, ponds and accessories. And it also stocks garden accessories and giftware, including jewellery.
Julia said: “What that guy doesn’t know about fish-keeping and anything else, you could write on the back of a stamp. He gives brilliant advice. It’s great to shop in there.”
Delighted Ben said: “I’m very happy. It proves that it’s worthwhile being part of Dunstable.”
Dunstable Town Council is organising the awards in partnership with the Dunstable Gazette.
The categories are:
> Best Customer Service From A Local Business.
> Best Customer Service From A Local Business Employee.
The winning business will receive a full colour, quarter page advert in the Dunstable Gazette, Luton News and Herald&Post as a prize, while the victorious individual employee will be treated to theatre tickets.
If you have nominated the winning business or individual, your name will be entered into a prize draw for theatre tickets, an afternoon tea for two at Priory House and a voucher for one hour’s complimentary use of the new artificial grass pitch at Creasey Park Community Football Centre.
Nominations aren’t limited to retail – they can include banks, garages, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
It’s so easy to vote. Just fill in and return the nomination form in the Dunstable Gazette by post, by April 13, or email your nominations to editorial@lutonnews.co.uk.
